Will Facebook, Twitter, Instagram be shut down from tomorrow?

The central government has issued notices to social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, warning them of failing to comply with the privacy rule, which will take effect on May 26.

The social media platform was given 3 months to comply with the new rules

In fact, on February 25, the social media platform gave the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology 3 months to comply with the new rules.  Which ends on May 26.  

Will the Self Regulating Board be an Independent Board as per the Information Technology Rule 2021 in the new rules.  The organization will cater to people of different races and different religions in India and will work with caution and discretion to characterize the activities, beliefs, practices or ideas of any racial or religious group.

TApplicable Entity or Self-Regulating Board shall not allow the conduct, transmission or dissemination of any content which is objectionable under any law.  Whatever material is being published must be viewed with Indian sovereignty and integrity in mind. 

Victims on social media do not know who to complain to and say their problem is solved.

That content on the social platform has to be deleted within 36 hours

Under the new rule, content will have to be removed from its own platforms soon after the government's order.

According to the new information technology rules, the content of the social platform in which the government has an objection must be removed within a maximum of 36 hours of the government's order.  Earlier this time limit was 72 hours.
