Rathyatra is a Hindu festival associated with Lord Jagannath, Balram and Subhadra, which is celebrated all over India during the day according to the Gujarati calendar Ashadh sud beej is celebrated during the day.  The original temple of Lord Jagannath is located in the city of Jagannath Puri in Orissa.

A particularly notable ritual associated with the Rathyatra is that of "Chehra Pehra".  During the festival, Gajapati Raja (King of Gajapati kingdom) dressed as a cleaner And the water around the idols and the chariot is washed.  In addition, before the arrival of the Rathyatra, the king, With utmost devotion, he walks the path of the rathyatra with a broom with gold handles and sprinkles fragrant water and powder on it.
