Get rid of these 10 essential tasks like investing to save Aadhaar-Pen link and tax by March 31st


 March is very important as it is the last month of the financial year. March 31 is the last date to take advantage of taxes and other schemes. At this point if you want to take your home a phase of its benefits is coming to an end. The subsidy in Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana will now be available for only 13 days. It will end on March 31, 2020-21.

In addition, there is a lot of work to be done this month, such as investing in tax savings and linking Aadhaar-Pen. We are telling you about 10 such works that you have to do by March 31st.

1. Investment to get income tax exemption

If you are planning to invest to take advantage of income tax exemption, you have to do so by March 31st. The government provides tax exemptions on investments made under several sections of the Income Tax Act, such as 80C and 80D. Under Section 80C of the Income Tax Act, an investment of Rs 1.5 lakh is tax deductible.

2. File late and revised return

The last date for filing late or revised Income Tax Return (ITR) for 2019-20 is also March 31. Billed returns are filed after the original deadline for filing returns for any financial year has passed. The taxpayer has to pay a penalty for that. Revised returns are filed when there is an error in filing the original return. Billed ITR is filed under Section 139 (4) of the Income Tax Act, 1961. As well as the revised ITR is filed under Section 139 (5). Billed returns are deposited before March 31, 2021 with a late filing fee of Rs 10,000.

3. Link the base-pen

The last date to link the PAN card with Aadhaar is March 31. The Income Tax Department is extending the deadline for linking it, but this time if the deadline is not extended, it could be a problem for those whose pen is not linked to Aadhaar. Link the pen card to Aadhaar by March 31. If you do not link your pen to support by March 31, it will be deactivated. To avoid being deactivated in such a situation, link it by March 31.

4. Apply to Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana

Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) is a scheme launched by the Government of India to provide affordable housing to the people. The benefit of this scheme can be availed till March 31. Under the scheme, credit linked subsidy is given to first time home buyers. Up to a maximum of Rs 2.67 lakh. Different subsidies are given to different income groups.

5. Deadline for submission of details under dispute trust scheme

The Income Tax Department has extended the deadline for filing details under the Direct Tax Dispute Settlement Scheme 'Conflict to Confidence' to March 31 and April 30 for payment. The purpose of this scheme is to settle outstanding tax disputes.

6. Benefit of Special Festive Advance Scheme

The government also announced an interest-free advance of Rs 10,000 for its employees under the Special Festive Advance Scheme. The given advance was to be repaid in maximum 10 installments. The deadline to take advantage of this Special Festival Advance is March 31, 2021. Employees will get a pre-paid card to avail the benefit of this scheme. It will already be recharged. It will get 10 thousand rupees. Apart from that, the government will also bear the bank charges levied on it. The employee can repay the amount taken in advance within 10 months.

7. Advantage of LTC Cash Voucher Scheme

Due to Corona, people could not travel in the current financial year 2020-21. So the government announced a special leave travel concession (LTC) cash voucher scheme. Under this, people can also avail LTC on purchase of any goods or services from 12 October 2020 to 31 March 2021. The condition is that at least 12% GST has been applied on the item and the payment must be made digitally. The limit of LTC fare per person is Rs 36,000. But to take it the employee has to spend three times the amount.

8. Registration in PM Kisan

So far 7 installments have been sent to farmers' accounts under PM Kisan Sanman Nidhi Yojana. Those who have not yet been able to register with the PM Kisan Sanman Nidhi Yojana apply before March 31 and if their application is accepted, they will get Rs 2,000 after Holi and Rs 2,000 as second installment in April or May. In this scheme, the government gives Rs. 6000 annually in three installments of Rs.

9. GST return filing

The government had extended the deadline for filing annual GST returns for the financial year 2019-20 to March 31, 2021. If you file a return after the last date, you will have to pay a penalty of Rs 200.

10. Loan under Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme

The government launched the Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme (ECLGS) to benefit micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The scheme is aimed at providing financial assistance to MSME firms which are facing difficulties due to the Koro crisis. The government has set aside Rs 3 lakh crore for the scheme. The scheme will continue till March 31 this year.
