Will Government Record Your Whatsapp Calls? Know what is the truth

Will Government Record Your Whatsapp Calls?  Know what is the truth

Various fake messages are going viral on Facebook, WhatsApp and Twitter with the new IT rules on social media companies.  A message claims that all your WhatsApp calls will be recorded and all your activities will be monitored after the new IT rule comes into force.  Not only that, but another claim is being made that a company owned by Facebook has implemented a new tick system.  Two blue ticks and one red tick mean that the government can take action, while three red ticks will mean that the government has started court proceedings.  Let me tell you, all these claims are fake.

The message of the three red ticks also went viral last year.  Even then the claim was rejected.  According to the viral forward message, after the new rule comes into force, all calls will be recorded and the social media account will also be monitored.  Not only that, it said that if any user shares a negative message against the government or on any religious issues, he will be arrested.  These claims are also false.

Learn what the new IT guidelines are

The new IT rules were to take effect on May 26, which was announced on February 25.  But social media companies have not implemented it.

According to the new guidelines, all social media companies will have to take action against any post on their platform if they receive a complaint.  Under this the companies will have to appoint three officers (Chief Compliance Officer, Nodal Liaison Officer and Resident Graduation Officer).  People living in India will have this right.
