Following a core committee meeting chaired by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, the curfew and additional limited restrictions in 36 cities, including eight metros, from 8 pm to 6 am have been extended for another week.

Succeeded in reducing cases: CM

 The Chief Minister made it clear in the meeting that Gujarat has succeeded in reducing the number of cases of Koro transition control.

The number of corona cases in the state has come down from 14,500 on April 27 to 11,000 yesterday.

Night curfew and limited restrictions remain unchanged for one more week

 The Chief Minister made it clear that the number of coroner cases in Gujarat has not increased.  But considering the prevalence of Koro transition across the country, the Gujarat government has decided to keep the night curfew and additional limited restrictions for one more week to keep all the citizens of the state safe and at least sympathetic.

The night curfew in 36 cities, including 8 metros in the state, which has been in place till May 11, 2021, will remain in force for seven days from 12 May 2021 to 18 May 2021 from 8 pm to 6 am every day.

Collaborative efforts paid off

The Chief Minister thanked the small and big traders, industries and the people of the state for their cooperation in implementing additional restrictions, including night curfew, to curb the transmission of corona in the state.  The joint efforts of all have paid off and the number of Corona cases is declining.

Voluntary lockdown from today until May 5

People in Navsari district have now awakened to prevent the spread of Koro and are working together with the Tantra to make the voluntary lockdown effective.

Mortality is also on the rise in the district as corona transition increases.  After Vansada taluka, a voluntary lockdown has also been provided in Chikhli taluka, which is the second largest in the district.  The traders have given their full support to the decision of the voluntary lockdown held by the leaders including the Taluka Development Officer and Chikhli Chamber of Commerce in the last few days.

The villagers have tried to break the chain of corona by cooperating in the complete voluntary lockdown announced in 68 villages of Chikhali taluka for a week from today till May 5.

While essential items like milk vegetables and medical are exempted during lockdown.

There are mini lockdowns in 29 cities in the state.  A mini lockdown has been announced from April 29 to May 5.
