The state government has secured 1.50 crore vaccination doses for the corona vaccine campaign for people aged 18 to 45 in the state from May 1. The vaccine will also be provided free of cost at government centers. This important decision has been taken in the meeting of the core committee chaired by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani. For this purpose, the state government has ordered to get 10 million doses of Covishield vaccine from Poona Serum Institute and 50 lakh doses of Covacin vaccine from Bharat Biotech, Hyderabad. The Rupani government arranged 1.50 lakh doses for vaccination
Chief Minister Vijay Rupani made it clear in the core committee meeting that under the guidance of the Prime Minister, vaccination of corona for people aged 18 to 45 years will start from May 1 across the country. Gujarat is committed to contribute through this 1.5 crore vaccination dose. It may be mentioned here that Gujarat is a leader in vaccinating health workers, front line workers and citizens above 45 years of age through about 6000 government and private vaccination centers in Gujarat.

So far 1.13 crore doses have been given in the state
So far 1 crore 13 lakh vaccine doses have been given in the state. The Chief Minister directed the core committee meeting to make arrangements for vaccination of every eligible person in the age group of 18 to 45 years in the state by making the vaccination campaign now extended to the district and taluka level. Such persons between the ages of 18 to 45 years will be able to register for vaccination online on the Covin Portal from 28th April and will have to be vaccinated on the basis of which they have been informed about the vaccination.
