Free vaccine will be given to people above 18 years of age in Gujarat

In Gujarat, free vaccine will be given to people above 18 years of age from May 1, the government has ordered 10 million doses of Covishield and 50 lakh doses of Covacin.

Vaccination will have to be registered on the Covin portal from April 28.

Everyone between the ages of 18 and 45 will be able to get vaccinated under the vaccination program.

The state government has secured 1.50 crore vaccination doses for the corona vaccine campaign for people aged 18 to 45 in the state from May 1. The vaccine will also be provided free of cost at government centers.  This important decision has been taken in the meeting of the core committee chaired by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani.  For this purpose, the state government has ordered to get 10 million doses of Covishield vaccine from Poona Serum Institute and 50 lakh doses of Covacin vaccine from Bharat Biotech, Hyderabad.  You don't have to stand in the test line, so stand specially in the vaccination line from 1st May.

Chief Minister Vijay Rupani made it clear in the core committee meeting that under the guidance of the Prime Minister, vaccination of corona for people aged 18 to 45 years will start from May 1 across the country.  Gujarat is committed to contribute through this 1.5 crore vaccination dose.  It may be mentioned here that Gujarat is a leader in vaccinating health workers, front line workers and citizens above 45 years of age through about 6000 government and private vaccination centers in Gujarat.

So far 1.13 crore doses have been given in the state

So far 1 crore 13 lakh vaccine doses have been given in the state.  The Chief Minister directed the core committee meeting to make arrangements for vaccination of every eligible person in the age group of 18 to 45 years in the state by making the vaccination campaign now extended to the district and taluka level.  Such persons between the ages of 18 to 45 years will be able to register for vaccination online on the Covin Portal from 28th April and will have to be vaccinated on the basis of which they have been informed about the vaccination.

He said, "Immunization is the only way to prevent corona. In the same way that the vaccination drive has accelerated in the state at present, all the officials and employees of the district administration, including senior secretaries, are now working to protect everyone between  the ages of 18 and 45 from corona vaccine. "  It is necessary to fulfill the responsibility.  The core committee meeting was attended by Minister of State for Home Pradeep Singh Jadeja, Chief Secretary Anil Mukim, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Manoj Kumar Das, Principal Secretary for Health Dr.  Jayanti Ravi, Chief Minister's Secretary Ashwini Kumar, Secretaries Sanjeev Kumar, Harit Shukla, Dhananjay Dwivedi and Health Hare were present.
