He added that the total number of such students would be around 9.50 lakh. Giving a detailed understanding of the method of merit based progress given to intermediate semester students, the Education Minister said that for this purpose, 50 per cent marks will be given on the basis of internal assessment and the remaining 50 per cent marks will be given on the basis of previous previous semester.
How will the assessment be done?
If the practical examination has not been conducted by the university-colleges, then 50% marks will be calculated on the basis of internal assessment and the remaining 50% marks will be calculated on the basis of the previous previous semester. In cases where the practical test has been taken, the actual marks obtained in the test will be taken into account, he added.
